Elif güvençer joins folgate
It’s always a good day when we can introduce new expertise, especially when it relates to AI and communications, so today we’re delighted to welcome Elif Güvençer to the Folgate community.
Most teams will use AI to do the same work faster. Few will stop to ask what the work should now be. This is where Elif Güvençer comes in. A strategic advisor to communications leaders on AI, she founded The Two Clocks, a practice built on her proprietary framework of the same name, designed specifically for communications. Her AI strategy work starts a step earlier than most AI advice, with the harder questions. For in-house teams: what is the role of communications when AI sits between you and everyone else? For agencies: what are clients willing to pay for when AI does the first pass? The work then carries through to implementation. That can be the AI answer a CEO is asking communications for, a risk register the team can run or an agency offer repositioned around what clients buy now.
She has been the agency pitching the work and the client buying it. Elif began at Ogilvy and Edelman, then moved in-house to pladis, the multibillion-pound global snacking company, where she led the global launch and built the corporate communications function. At RepTrak she advised CCOs and boards on reputation and risk, and was lead advisor on AI as a Stakeholder™, RepTrak’s AI reputation solution. She speaks regularly on AI in communications, with her next keynote at AMEC AI Day in November, in London and writes the newsletter AI: The Reputation Signal.
